Full inventory and criticality assessment of all 240 reports. Phased Qlik Sense rebuild with self-service governance on Qlik Cloud, 4-month parallel run per business domain, automated regression tests on key figures during cut-over.

Result

240 reports successfully migrated in 9 months. Oracle BI EE licence cost −55% (post-decommissioning). 100% uptime during transition. Planners now have self-service access with governance maintained through Qlik Cloud.

Transport company with 850 trucks/day where routes were drawn up by planners on gut feel. Exceptions (traffic, weather, load changes) cost 18% extra fuel and planners worked an average of 90 minutes/day overtime.

Approach

Qlik Predict model on historic routes plus live traffic and weather data. Real-time scoring visible in Qlik Sense, integrated with the existing TMS via REST API. Planners retain final responsibility; the model delivers ranked alternatives.

Result

Routes shortened by 14% kilometres per day. Fuel savings €720k/year. Planner time −30% (each planner can manage 6 additional trucks). Customer OTIF (on-time in-full) +6%.
