Qlik offers both with functional parity. Cloud (SaaS) is faster to start, automatically up-to-date and cheaper for most organisations. On-premises remains relevant where data residency, compliance or latency requires it. For new deployments we almost always recommend Cloud; for existing on-premises environments we support both and help with phased migration where it fits.

Since March 2025 Qlik works with capacity-based pricing for new customers: pay for processing capacity instead of per user. For existing customers per-user pricing continues. Exact costs depend on your scale and use case — an Elite Partner can help optimise cost without giving up functionality.
